In my wanderings around Joshua Tree, Ca-I stumbled upon a show at Pappy and Harriet's. It was the band Cracker that I remembered from high school with their song, "Low". It had been so long since I thought about that band, so was so surprised to look on stage and see David Lowery-looking absolutely great, but much older, as I was myself since high school! They started out playing songs that didn't sound like the Cracker I remembered, but more like honky tonk music which they call, "California Country", and is titled, "Berkeley to Bakersfield". The band sounded great and their energy was contagious...
